In 2022, my husband’s parents purchased a home in Highlands, North Carolina. Since then we have been fortunate enough to spend a number of weeks there over the past year and a half.
Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Highlands is a charming and picturesque destination that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and family-friendly activities. Whether you’re into exploring waterfalls, enjoying outdoor adventures such as hiking, or savoring local cuisine, Highlands has something for everyone. In this travel guide I’ll share our favorite places to see and things to do to help you plan an awesome getaway.
